Chinese songs

Chinese songs never fail to intrigue me. There's always a song to describe every emotion, feeling and encounter. I think that's the beauty of the chinese language.

I can see vividly the picture of that lovely lil' house by the sea.
I can hear joy and laughter coming from within.
Full of warmth, sunshine and love.

One day, I will have that house of mine. =)

Learning about life

These six months since I graduated have taught me quite a bit about life. Much more than what I had seen in textbooks and all that mountains of readings through the years of education. Everyone that I have met so far all had something worthwhile for me to learn from. Now, I fully understand how the term 社会大学 came about. Some lessons came the hard way. But it has taught me to let go more, be more appreciative of life and of what I have. It has also made me realised that though there has been tumbles (and probably more to come), I am still blessed to have received so much kind guidance.

I guess this is all part of growing up.

Just want to thank all my lovely friends who have been here with me and seen me through all my tumblings and grumblings. It's cos of people like you that makes life so much more wonderful. =) Thank you for giving me such meaningful lessons on life!

Appreciation

Begin each day reminding ourselves that it could be the last, and cherish every waking moment.
Remember that life is precious...
And the world is a beautiful place..
Always take some time to appreciate the wonders of nature for it will not be there forever

The Joy of Giving

The look of surprise....
The joyous smiles...
The happy twinkle in the eye...

No words...

But that says it all.

The joy of Giving.. And Giving without any expectations for returns.

Bunny's Haven

Each time I think of Bobtail, I see an image of him bounding happily up and down on this big green field. The field is huge. And seemingly endless. But life is abundent on the field. There are flowers of every colour and sorts. Purple, pink, blue, red, orange, yellow.. sunflowers, roses, baby's breath, lilies, tulips... And with him, and around him, are other lil' bunnies... some scuttering around, some sleeping, some fighting and playing catch. The sky is a calming shade of blue, and the sun shines graciously down on the life forms.

Wherever he is now, he is in his own little bunny haven. And I know for sure he is happy... =)

Kiasu-ism

Have you ever wondered...

People always complain about the Kiasu attitudes of Singaporeans. But coming from such a society like the one we live in, perhaps it is not by choice that we are Kiasu. Rather, it is more of a mechanism for survival.

Dreams...

Whenever I walked along the linkway between the North and Northeast line at Dhoby Ghaut station, I would be struck by how people around me seemed to be rushing to get from one station point to the other. I often wondered whether these people knew what they were rushing toward, or what they were rushing away from. It reminded me of how, in life, people often work hard to pursue their goals. But how often were these goals what they truly wanted and dreamt of? As kids, we had big dreams and ambitions... some were idealistic, some out-of-the-world. But still, they were dreams of hope, dreams of the bright future and happiness to come. Yet, along the way, in our mindless pursuit of what we deemed as important, we get buried in the hassles of life... We become distracted... We fall into temptations... We forget our dreams... We forget where we originally came from, and our intended destination... We simply lose ourselves.

These thoughts often make me feel that life is sad and jaded. But when such times occur, I would try to remind myself of the hopes and dreams I had as an innocent child. Somehow, that gave me the courage to dream again, to believe, and to hold on to the hope that some time, somewhere down the future, the beautiful images of the kind of life I've always dreamt of as a child would one day become reality.
